For about 45 seconds yesterday Bielsa-ball was alive and well at ER: Quick throw out from Meslier to Rodon (?) to Aaronson on the right to Bogle, back heel into Aaronson’s path, first time down the line to James, first time low cross met by an in-rushing Solomon - goal
Thereafter the game was played out between two Farke teams - Norwich played like they had found an old coaching manual lying around - with Leeds having a little more intent / urgency about them. Having swapped the booked Byram and Tanaka (the latter might have dodged a second yellow a few minutes prior) for Gruev and Firpo… we got another injection of pace from Junior down the left, who’s charge forward brought on a series of attacks, which ended up with James calmly finishing from a nice chipped ball to the far post from Solomon (after one of their defenders had kept the ball alive when it looked to be going out). Other than that, almost anonymous and uneventful as a game of football. Back on top. Just checking upcoming games, to see loads of them have been buggered about in terms of dates / times…ah well.
