I've not really got any knock 'em down memories of John, I can't bring to mind any particular escapades or anything like that. But I do remember from the first time I met him in the flesh that this bloke, this forthright keyboard warrior who could gobshite with the best of them :) was actually thoughtful and kind and was open and welcoming. It was always a pleasure to spend time with John, I am proud that he was my friend. I only met Tracey a few times and I think his kids were babes-in-arms. Tracey I also felt was a friend - and that too is a measure of the man that John was. It's years since I saw him but we corresponded from time to time, latterly with John periodically checking up if my dad was alright. I'm truly going to miss John in spite of all those years. I can't imagine the pain for Tracey and the kids but I hope that they will take some comfort knowing that we all share in their loss. Requiescat in pace John.
