I've not really got any knock 'em down memories of John, I can't bring to
mind any particular escapades or anything like that. But I do remember from
the first time I met him in the flesh that this bloke, this forthright
keyboard warrior who could gobshite with the best of them :)  was actually
thoughtful and kind and was open and welcoming. It was always a pleasure to
spend time with John, I am proud that he was my friend.

I only met Tracey a few times and I think  his kids were babes-in-arms.
Tracey I also felt was a friend - and that too is a measure of the man that
John was.

It's years since I saw him but we corresponded from time to time, latterly
with John periodically checking up if my dad was alright. I'm truly going
to miss John in spite of all those years.

I can't imagine the pain for Tracey and the kids but I hope that they will
take some comfort knowing that we all share in their loss.

Requiescat in pace John.
