Just my take on the Farke situation. Like Rob I believe the main problem is that we could not persuade (afford??) good enough players to come to Leeds. We have a strong basic squad, but every team other than Wolves & Burnley have at least 2 or 3 match winners of a higher quality than Leeds. Much as we had last year in the championship.
With these tools at his disposal Farke needs to be spot on with selection, team shape and substitutes, and he obviously has not. Would a new manager do better with these players? Given the financial restraints coupled with the inability to move unwanted players on, I cannot see us signing even 2 or 3 players who will solve these issues. We’ve had a comparatively easy 12 games compared with the 12 matches up to the end of January. If we get 8 points from them I’ll be surprised. If by some miracle we are still in touch with a couple of the other teams by then, there is a faint chance of survival. If not it is time to start thinking about rebuilding the squad for the next assault on the championship!
