When this flashed up on my smartwatch while I was driving back home earlier,
all I saw was "Farke has gone".

Nearly put it in a ditch.

Completely agree with Dave below. Farke has saved himself for now (and like
Damian, I'll eat a slice of humble pie), but in many ways the last 3 games have
been freebies. We had zero expectation going in to them and if we'd ended up
with improved performances and zero points then that might have been enough to
buy a stay of execution. But what those results do is throw the performances
against Burnley/Brighton/Forest into sharp relief and puts the focus on the
next 3. Farke obviously needs to get the team to continue with the same
approach, but with Liverpool, ManU & Newcastle in the first week of Jan, we
need to be carrying a bit of momentum - and at least 4 points, ideally 6-7 from
these, otherwise we're back exactly where we were at HT against Citeh, we're
asking the same questions of DF and the ownership, and we're going into the
window with a huge question mark hanging over strategy.

Cheers

Subject: [LU] Farke

Farke has gone some way to winning over the fans ( see Damien W’s
acknowledgement and apology on here ) and certainly deserves to keep his job (
at least for now)Of course every game is a massive challenge and fan’s opinions
will fluctuate with results and performances . Does 2 great and unexpected
results v Chelsea and Liverpool make up for bad defeats at Burnley and Forest
???For me now going forward Brentford is huge - does he revert to type and be
negative and end up with another Brighton capitulation or does he stick with
our new braver attitude of playing with 2 up top and leaning into the “ big
bastards FC”? I know it is our home form that will decide our fate ( or
hopefully keep us up with all the lower teams bar West Ham still to come to ER
- some real 6 pointers due) But we cannot afford to just be so passive away
from home , so far ( apart from wolves ) not a single point and some awful
performances- we need to pick up some points and starting the new method with 3
at Brentford would be unbelievable ( hard) and drag them into the relegation
fight So come on Dan , be brave and at least put up a fight away from home Dave
