Fun fact of the day: Farke has now won more Premier League games with
Leeds than he did with Norwich.

Well that was excellent, the perfect antidote to the Arsenal hammering.
A must win game that we won, and ( till the last 15 mins) won with some
style and some very good football. Darlow made up for his Arsenal error
with a great save at 0-0 that would have changed the whole game had it
gone in, then another tip over the bar right at the end which meant we
were spared a really nervous couple of minutes in injury time. Special
mention to Gruev - when one of mates read out the team in the pub it's
fair to say one of our number was less than impressed with Farke
picking " that useless waste of a shirt, he is shit" with a fee
expletives thrown in. Instead he was tremendous his best game for us
with two assists and general all round good play. His first assist led
to a great finishby Bogle who ran from his own half and showed composure
and skill to control the ball andpoke it home- no striker in the world
could have done it better. It was well deserved as we had dominated
throughout with DCL heading against the bar , and " Aaronson again,
one ole" having a lovely little flick blocked. We soon made it 2 as
Justin rampage forward from his position on the right side of the back
three to link up well with Aaronson, getting the ball back and firing
in a decent shot, well saved but it bounced back to Justin, who could
have shot again from a difficult angle but took the better option of
picking out Okafor who had the easiest of finishes. So a commanding
2nil lead at half time and thoroughly deserved. We soon made it 3 as
Gruev again put in a cross that DCL met deliberately with his chest and
turned it in - smart thinking and good execution. The first chested goal
I have seen so far as I can remember. That pretty much wrapped things
up , we brought on Dan James who had one cross that deserved to have
someone on the end of it, and longstaff to give both of them some
minutes on the pitch. Forest did pull one back as their 6'7" sub
best Rodon to a header but a comeback never felt on and although they
bossed the last 15 I never feared the result So another invaluable 3
points that puts us above Forest and level with spurs and Palace. If
Burnley can do us a favour v West ham things will be looking good.OK we
don't expect (m)any points in our next 3 games- away at Chelsea and
villa and at home to man City but after that we have a few winnable
games. A great way to bounce back and there is something special
happening at ER under the lights ( even if it's ridiculous to play on a
Friday night it was fun) Dave
