Haven’t been able to get to the last 2 games - yesterday’s I’m not at all sad about now.
But thinking about what I’ve seen on the highlights / playbacks from those two games, the league needs to think seriously about what VAR is for: Vs Man City - it missed the stamp on Gruev, whatever happened to Justin that left him with blood soaking through his sock, and the potential handball Vs Sunderland - the “assault” on Struijk, Rodon’s offside goal (I thought it was offside, but the linesman didn’t flag), and their penalty - which I do think was a penalty, because he made a second move with his elbow to nudge it… but it is marginal and feels worse when seen against the one we didn’t get vs City. On wider matters Ruud Gullitt had some interesting thoughts on why football is no longer attractive to many - it is all about containment, and carrying out tasks, and safety. He was speaking after the recent Chelsea v Arsenal game which I understand was a grinding bore as well. There’s 9 games to go (I think) and there are 5 or 6 teams who would happily swap places with us. Nick PS - who put a rocket up Wolves’ arse? > Begin forwarded message: > > From: nattan--- via Leedslist <[email protected]> > Subject: Re: [LU] Maggots > Date: 4 March 2026 at 10:37:04 GMT > To: leeds list <[email protected]> > Reply-To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> > > I am struggling to remember a game worsethan this one, as a spectacle it was > atrocious, to think fans pay £50 or more to watch this total anti football > non event.
