Nah...

Watford are using Ticketmaster, company experienced in dealing with such
circumstances, perhaps a good idea?

Additonally, LU a couple of years back (?) introduced a web-page solution where
tickets, memberships etc could be ordered, and "credits" were given as to "how
good a customer" you were... It implied this to be a basis for allocation for
away tickets and ... Play off final tickets. And such.

I'm sure the club (and obviously the supporters as well) would have benefitted
from further developing this system, instead of throwing it away. The club also
have no excuse for not being prepared to dealing with the issues play-off -
tickets - supporters...

Processes should be in place from before; lessons learnt from CCC -96 and the
games in Europe etc. the years to come after that; shouldn't be necessary to
learn the same things over again.

well Mr Shed, exactly what did they do very very badly? Sure the process was
not smooth and hopefully lessons will be learnt for next time but it seems to
me the main problem was the headless chicken attitude of some supporters. This
was exemplarised by some of the postings on the list - I have no doubt some
fans were already writing the death threats to cuddly ken, blackie and the club
cat before we all calmed down.

When commenting on the sale of tickets on eBay the club have stated:

"These tickets must have been purchased by either season-ticket holders or
members. One of the reasons that the processing of applications took time was
that each individual seat detail sold was recorded so that the club could
identify the purchaser, if required."

so perhhaps the delays were a combination of forward planning by the club,
panic and bad behaviour by some fans by pushing in and screwing up the queing
system?
