Correct. Which is why I keep saying "We'll see". We'll see Chris. > - I > summarised Blackwell's transfer's Rich - not quite > the same thing. - but to > detail - exactly which observation on Douglas was > 'well wide of the mark' - > I'm afraid I can't just take your word for it. That's almost competing with David Batty ....!!????? What about pace and ability ? Chris, he's wank and you know it. > > You claim that Blackwells tactics are exactly the > same this season as last - > in what way exactly? Long ball , negative tactics. Playing players out of position. Choosing players that aren't up to it. Relying on a captain that isn't up to it. Crap substitutions at the wrong times ..... need I go on ! The only shining light has been Stone , who plays football even though Blackwell thinks he's a right winger. Perhaps you'd like it better if > we didn't score set > pieces from goals - but hang on - I seem to recall > in the dim and distant > past one R.Walker plaintively crying 'When was the > last goal we scored from > a set piece?'. Killa has made 2 mistakes this season and one of them was blamed for a goal against Cardiff - everyone forgets the part (or should I say non-part) that Butler and Crainey played in that goal. Killa is our best player and I think even Blackwell knows that now although it took him an age to recognise it. > > Rich, it's way too early in the season to start > claiming 'I told you so' > though I concede that you will eventually be proved > right since all managers > are sacked sooner or later - but let's change the > record - have you any > ideas about how the team we have - with the injuries > and suspensions we > have, can be deployed to get say 6 points this > month? - personally I don't > think we'll do it, but I do think that the team has > shown some potential and > that once the injury crisis is over we will deliver > some good, entertaining > football. Much more than that I can't honestly say - > so put your credibility > on the line - let's hear how you would do it (and > please don't just say > 'sack Blackwell'). You're the same as all the rest who were shouting that Blackwell should be given another season and are now having to think twice. At least Sean Emmott came out and realised he was wrong based on what he's seen so far this season. You say I will eventually be proved right cos all managers get the sack. Don't talk bollox Chris - it's a simple as this - if he gets the sack this season or we continue as we are doing and end up mid season then I will be right. If he takes us to promotion you will be right. IT WILL ALL HAPPEN THIS SEASON. Let's put our bollox on the line Chris. Then, when we get promotion, you can send one of your long tossy e-mails to me and this list saying WALKER WAS WRONG, I DISMANTLED HIS ARGUMENTS AND I TOLD YOU SO. On the other hand if I am proved right and will keep quiet cos I know that I told you so. Chris, we will see. > > Chris Wright > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Richard Walker" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: "Chris Wright" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Cc: <[email protected]> > Sent: Saturday, September 02, 2006 10:06 AM > Subject: Re: [LU] Douglas is back !! > > > > > >> On the Blackwell out issue - I think he has > bought > >> quality into the squad, > >> he has so far been deprived of the luxury of a > >> settled first team, but from > >> what I have seen, Westlake is a step up from > Miller, > >> Carole is a proper ball > >> playing winger with some considerable pace, Foxe > >> looks like an improvement > >> on Gregan.
