Was it a bad decision? Clearly we don't have the firepower to chase down  a 
total - as the Sri Lanka game proved. Can you imagine that lot chasing down  
350?
 
But if our batsmen had been able to cope with SA's line & length  pacemen 
they could have posted 250 or so batting first - which might have  allowed us 
to 
put some pressure on when bowling. We were 110 for 3 after 30  overs - 7 an 
over in the last 20 would have given 250.
 
Batting first was an attempt to bat to our "strengths", but it didn't come  
off because the batsmen played badly.
