As always........thanks are due from the expat brigade to all who wrote reports.
Brilliant to read so much encouraging stuff. I have just one question...........to Rich Walker; You mention all the players by name in your report and are very positive about them..........oh, all except one actually.........er, Jonathan Douglas? Other people have commended him for his display. But what did you think? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Richard Walker Sent: Sunday, April 06, 2008 7:45 PM To: list leedslist; DAVID NATTAN Subject: Re: [LU] Orient Dave, I was there yesterday and would agree with your assessment and optimism. Having had to give my Donny ticket away mid week I was looking forward to seeing Huntington and how he would play with Lubo. Also I did mention during my match report against Brighton that Mcallister should have a look at Prutton's role because for Kilkenny and Howson were the ones suited to Mac's style and Prutton really doesn't have that ability. I think it all came together yesterday and to be honest if we keep improving I can't see us losing that many points between now and the end of the season. Carlisle at home on Saturday looks interesting. Apparently their snapping up tickets from for the SOuth stand .... Other plus points for me yesterday - Howson again. He's got it all this lad and I think he'll have a load of big clubs after him very soon. I notice a lot of people are starting to rave about him now. Also, Kilkenny played well again. I think him and Howson are are cut above in this league. I still think we lack width and I don't think Johnson did that much to be honest although he has got a nice left foot. Up front Beckford was lively and Freedman who played his usually intelligent role. As for Huntington and Lubo , yes they did well although there were 1 or two moments. Would I bring Rui back ? Yes, but I really don't know who I would drop ? I'm not going to do a full match report 'cos I'm knackered and I was also a bit worse for wear at the game after a good drink in London after coming down on the train. Going back to Kings Cross was interesting with a lot of groups of lads from other clubs knocking around - Sunderland, Barnsley, a few Cardiff etc. Good job the police were out in force. I thought the support at Orient was brilliant - I haven't sung so much for years. Got a really bad sore throat this morning. So why did I decide to come out of away game retirement for this one - well, no one else has mentioned it on here but it's 8 years since the Turkey murders and I went out of respect for the two lads. RIP. We're Leeds Utd , we'll never be defeated. --- On Sun, 6/4/08, DAVID NATTAN <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > From: DAVID NATTAN <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: [LU] Orient > To: "list leedslist" <[email protected]> > Date: Sunday, 6 April, 2008, 12:46 PM > Brilliant, fantastic, awesome, superb. excellent !!!! > > > OK it was not quite that good but not far off.
