Hi, what format do u send the mail out in? Make sure it isn't Rich Text Format.
I have heard of similar things happening and quite difficult to troubleshoot, try the Eudora forum or type the error into google groups. Finally, store a copy of the NL on a web site and provide a link for those that cant open it, although that might cause problems with spam filters. ttfn Richard > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] > [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of > [email protected] > Sent: 30 January 2009 02:12 > To: [email protected] > Subject: [LU] Non LU: Techy help, please > > Can anyone help me with this quirk? > > I run the Barrow AFC email Newsletter from here in NZ, and > stop it, thats not the problem, when I send out a Microsoft > Word document as an attachment, there are some people on the > mailing list who cant read it (about 30 out of 860), as it > comes through not as an attachment, but in the body of the > email as gobbly-gook, or as someone described something from > the inside of an Egyptian tomb. > > The error message beings: > begin 666 Barrow AFC Poster Vs Kiddy & Salisbury.doc > > And the file is turned into the likes of > MT,\1X*&Q&N$`````````````````````/@`#`/[_"0`&``````````````` > > So its a 666 error, I get that.
