LL: URGENT WA Native Title Bill Committee

Our solicitor, Chris Williams, is at the Upper house committee hearings
in
on WA Native Title legislation.  Apparently, there has been a great
imbalance of submissions, with the majority being from mining &
industry.
Today is the last day it is scheduled to sit; Giz Watson (MLC) has
argued it
is an inadequate time frame.  What Chris has suggested would be useful
is
for people to ring in and request to be able to make a submission and
note
the response you are given  (maybe send it back to me here).  As we
might be
able to use this as ammunition to get the committee extended; ie. If
people
have not been given the opportunity to make submissions.
