GREEN/UNION CAUCUS - Over the last 16 months, a small group of
representatives from green organisations & from unions have been
meeting to
facilitate the process of establishing an all-union green caucus.
That
caucus is Earthworker. DAVE KERRIN [Rail Tram Union in Vic,
formerly PTU]
talks about the aims of Earthworker, due to open its office doors
in
February 1999.
TEXTILE WORKERS LOCKED OUT - 80 workers at the Australian Dyeing
Company
have been locked out since Dec 1 after taking industrial action in
support
of their enterprise bargaining claim. Assistant Secretary of the
TCFUA -
MICHELLE O'NEILL - explains the background to the dispute.
