This week the Stick Together Show brings you the first of our
Summer Feature
Series of programming for 1999. Join us throughout the month of
January for
an excellent collection of documentaries looking at an eclectic
range of
industrial & political issues.
First up.....
MUA here to stay - Jay Estorninho & the team from 3CR bring you a
compilation of award-winning coverage of the 1998 maritime
dispute,
documenting the enormous community spirit & determination of the
MUA workers
& their supporters over many months of last year. 3CR was awarded
the CBAA
"Best News Story 1998" award for it's coverage of this dispute.
And just a reminder.......
The 80 TCFUA workers from the Australian Dyeing company in
Melbourne's inner
city suburb of Clifton Hill have spent Xmas on the picket line &
will remain
there into the New Year. Today [29/12/98] is Day 29 of their
lockout.
A New Year's Eve solidarity party is being held at the protest
site from 7pm
to 12 midnight on Thursday 31st December
[NB: The workers would like to remind supporters that this is an
alcohol-free party, in the interests of picket line safety]
