Part II of a 4-part documentary which looks at the CIA & its involvement in
some significant world events of this century. Part II continues last week's
examination of the role of the CIA in Australian affairs, particularly the
dismissal of the Whitlam Government & the infamous "loans affair" of 1974-5.
Originally produced for Public Radio's "Watching Brief" program, this
documentary first went to air in 1986 but remains spookily relevant in 1999!

AND JUST A REMINDER.......ADC workers fight against individual contracts &
for union representation on the job.
80 TCFUA workers from the Australian Dyeing company in Melbourne's inner
city suburb of Clifton Hill have been locked out of their workplace since
December 1, after taking protected industrial action in support of a modest
EBA claim. Today [19/1/99] is Day 50 of their peaceful protest. They are
asking for the support of unionists throughout Australia.
