Support is building in Melbourne for a rally being organised on Saturday 24
April, 1 pm at the GPO by the Millions for Mumia World Wide Steering
Committee.

The rally -- part of a world-wide movement to prevent the execution
in the US of framed up Black radica,l Mumia Abu-Jamal -- raises three
key demands: Stop the Execution! Free Mumia! Abolish the Racist Death
Penalty!

Mumia's "crime" is not the act of murder but the advocacy of
revolution. A former Black Panther leader who was never bought off by
the establishment nor demoralised and disoriented, he maintains his
radical principles as a respected journalist.

All can take inspiration from Mumia himself. In a statement released
after the October 98 decision to deny his appeal, he concluded: "A
court cannot make an innocent man guilty. Any ruling founded on
injustice is not justice. The rigteous fight for life, liberty and
for justice can only continue".

Get involved! Campaign meetings take place on:

Thursday 25 March
Thursday 8 April
Thursday 22 April
Thursday 6 May

All meetings start at 6.30 pm, Meeting Room 1, Building 12 [enter
through level 4, Building 8], RMIT Higher Education City Campus.

EVERYONE IS MOST WELCOME.

And watch out for opportunities where you can find out more about the fight
to save Mumia....
