Dear friends,
Asiet's agenda of activities leading up to the May 22 International Day of
Solidarity with Indonesia and East Timor is the following and we ask you to
join with us to increase the pressure on the Indonesian and Australian
governments at this crucial time:
* Candlelight vigils each Friday from 30 April - 14 May - Indonesian
consulate, 72 Queens Road
A range of speakers from unions, solidarity groups, Timorese groups,
community, indigenous and student organisations will be invited to address
the vigil.
* Fri 21 May 12 noon - commencement of East Timorese/democratic Indonesian
tent embassy outside Indonesian consulate
* Fri evening - music, speakers
* Sat 12 noon - International Day of Solidarity rally
