3CR - the Uncensored Voice of the Community
Free from corporate sponsorship and government control, 3CR brings the
community social justice radio with integrity.
Community Radio 3CR is Melbourne's truly uncensored voice. Programs at 3CR
give a voice to progressive organisations and communities excluded or
marginalised in the mainstream media. 400 volunteers produce 24 hours of
progressive radio every week. Hundreds of community groups put their views
on 3CR - Kooris, women, environmentalists, community language groups,
social justice groups, trade unions, lesbian and gay groups, community
arts, alternative and local musicians all have a voice on 3CR.
3CR's current affairs programming covers issues of local and global
concern. Programs such as Doing Time, Asia Pacific Currents and the
Anarchist World this Week broadcast voices and stories heard rarely in
other media. 3CR's 19 community language programs provide a vital forum for
Melbourne's non-English speaking communities to hear news directly from
their homelands such as Voice of East Timor, Chile Fights, Voice of=
Kurdistan.
3CR produces many programs which are broadcast nationally. Women on the
Line, Stick Together, The Radioactive Show, Accent of Women, Earth Matters,
Second Opinion, Global Voices, Lost in Science and community radio's
current affairs program Undercurrents all concern themselves with issues of
social justice, speaking with a real voice from a community perspective.
This opportunity allows issues of social justice ignored by mainstream
media to reach the ears of peoples from all over Australia.
3CR is independent, community owned and controlled which means that we
depend on financial support from the community. To stay alive and
independent we are celebrating 3CR's uncensored voices during our annual
Radiothon in June.

Thsnks, Luke
I think for now, I am not going to try to do any installing, untill
I can learn more about this beast.
I may just give it up.
BTw, I find a strange bin file on my C drive, numbers.bin ,
is this the LILO or do you know?
If I decide to delete this OS, I would need to del thAt too.
Thanks,
Will

Will....just keep pressing the spacebar (or enter key) when prompted =
(ok). Eventually it'll play the sample and ask if you can hear it. If =
you can't then something is wrong. Like the speakers not are not =
properly connected or the volume is turned down, you know stuff like =
that. Have patience, the rewards are substantial. Look on it like an =
adventure. (-:

I am totally ignorant of this OS, and now believe it may not be for =
me.
I can't see whats so great is having to pull teeth to make something =
work
that windows does automatically?
