Victorian unions launch jobs campaign in manufacturing.

The Victorian Trades Hall Council and Manufacturing Industry Unions issued
a statement on 19 May launching a campaign on jobs in the manufacturing
industry, commencing with a major rally of workers on 3 June at 10:30 am.

The rally was called to take a stand on manufacturing job losses.

More than 33,000 Victorian manufacturing workers have lost their jobs since
1996.

"Manufacturing is a core part of the Victorian economy, and at the moment
it is being badly let down by our government."
