I suggest that members of Leftlink who have not already done so, get in
touch with their relevant state branches of the Australian Democrats to
protest at the way Meg Lees has caved in to the Coalition on the GST.
Members of the Australian Democrats ought to intiate a petition calling for
a leadership spill, and vote against Lees - she must not be allowed to get
away with giving Howard "90% of what (he) wanted". Members of other
parties, Greens, ALP, etc. ought to indicate that they will never give
their preferences to the Democrats as long as Lees and the GST agreement
remains in place.
Keep the BASTARDS honest indeed!!!
