HOUSING - KNOW YOUR RIGHTS
Peer Education for People with Disabilities

AMIDA has developed a series of innovative housing/tenancy rights education
kits, presenting-- for the first time-- accessible tenancy information for
people with learning or literacy problems.

HOUSING - KNOW YOUR RIGHTS sessions are conducted by people with
disabilities, for people with disabilities and/or interested workers. The
sessions present a range of housing and tenancy rights information using a
variety of formats including videos and graphics.

Participants in each session will receive posters, information booklets and
keyrings.

There are 6 education sessions to choose from:
* Introduction to Tenancy Rights
* Private Rental - Know Your Rights
* Public Housing - Know Your Rights
* Government Managed Group Homes (CRUs) - Know Your Rights
* Non-Government Group Homes - Know Your Rights
* Supported Residential Services - Know Your Rights

Sessions are currently available free of charge.
