The recent Japanese and Korean nuclear accidents are a timely reminder of
the serious dangers of the nuclear industry in a time when our Government
is fast tracking several nuclear projects.
Helen Caldicott, well known anti-nuclear activist and paediatrician will be
speaking on the health implications of the nuclear industry, world peace
and Amerikisation at the New Council Chambers, Vic Trades Hall, 7.00pm
Wedneday 13 October.
She will be joined by Daniel Voronoff, anti uranium campaigner from Friends
of the Earth who will be speaking on Australia's role in the nuclear
industry and Jacob Grech of the Nuclear Disarmament Party, speaking on
Depleted Uranium.
An excellent opportunity to keep informed on the latest (anti) nuclear news.
