What is ELC ?
ELC was established to:
:support landholder communities in their struggle to safeguard their rights
to land, protect their environment, livelihood and culture, and sustainably
manage their resources.
:increase awareness of landholders about their legal rights to land,
environmental management, sustainable management of resources, alternatives
to logging, and legal avenues available for redressing injustices,
compensation issues, environmental damage and breaches of contract.
:strengthen the lobbying capacity, political voice, and information sharing
capacity of landholder communities by building and strengthening networks of
participating landholders.
Ursula has just participated in the Diplomacy Training Program in Darwin.
