AMES presents "Frontiers - World Music and Dance Refugee Event"

artists, featuring some of Melbourne's best world music, dance and visual

7.35pm - Special MC & Host - Franklyn Ajaye (emmy nominated sit-com writer,
award winning comedian, & regular guest on The Panel), acknowledging AMES
(Adult Multicultural Education Services), presenting this event in
partnership with Amnesty International, Community Aid Abroad (Oxfam
Australia) & Multicultural Arts Victoria (MAV)

"one of the most unique and popular circuses of this generation", formed in
Ethiopia 3 years ago, successful toured Europe; incorporating incredible
gymnastic performances with live African music and dance

The Middle-East
9.00 - 9.30pm - Kurdistan - Fadil Suan & Kin Em Trio
beautiful, authentic, traditional & contemporary Kurdish music with special
guests Uzay Ceylan & Hasan Gulan (original spoken text to traditional
Kurdish sounds)

9.30 - 10.00 pm - Lebanon - Fouad Harraka & Knights of Lebanon;
exciting 11 piece Arabic music & dance combo, world reknown exponents of
music & dance from the Middle-East

10.00 - 10.30 pm - Gualberto Casas & Orquestra D'El Barrio
fabulous 11 piece Hot Latin Salsa orchestra - watch out!!

Eastern Europe
10.30 - 11.00pm - Sara Patrja
presented by Triumph of Music, stunning 5 piece Rom Gypsy dance troupe, the

contemporary music & dance
