Nnimmo Bassey was in Australia recently for the Rio +10 International
Workshop and the Global Greens Conference. Today's edition of Earth
Matters is an interview with Nnimmo about the situation in Nigeria at the
moment with regard to $Hell, the politics of oil and greenhouse gas
emissions, how the military is tied to the oil industry and about an
international boycott of oil companies.
Nnimmo represented the non-government organisation OILWATCH, which
advocates for human rights in communities across the tropics who are
resisting the exploration and extraction of oil.
