include personal testimonies from Refugees & detention centre workers.
With Maribyrnong Detention Centre on our doorstep this forum is a must
for people based in Melbourne's West & a good introduction to this
growing campaign for justice.

July 28, Saturday 11am- a rally and speakout in Footscray to maintain
pressure on the Maribyrnong Detention Centre & demand the closure of all
camps.
>>> THE RETURN OF THE VIGILS
>From August RAC (WEST) is bringing back the vigils at Maribyrnong
Detention Centre. To be held on the last Sunday of every month from
August.
>>> FUTURE MAJOR MOBILISATION AT MARIBYRNONG
The current proposal from RAC (WEST) is to begin organising a major
mobilisation at the Maribyrnong detention centre in late November.
Possibly meeting at Highpoint or somewhere nearby and marching to the
Centre, and organising a "Rock Against Racism" there.
Still early stages of planning still & would appreciate other groups &
individuals input.
Our initial discussion is to make this a major focus for RAC (WEST) in
