Melbourne Resistance calls highschool walkout
Thurs 6th September 1.30 pm Flinders St Station (march to DIMA)
It's time for young people to come out onto the streets and demand an
end to the racist scapegoating of refugees!!!!
While the events surrounding the refugees off Christmas Island are a
dramatic escalation of the lengths to which the government is prepare to
go to keep the worlds persecuted from seeking asylum, they represent a
long pursued policy of persecuting the already persecuted.
Just as in 1998 high school students shamed the major parties for their
complicity in Hanson's racist onslaught so too will we ensure they pay
the price for their bipartisan support of what can only be desrcribe as
crimes against humanity.
So whether your a highschool student or not make sure your there to
point the finger at the Australian government and to free the refugees.
Let the Christmas Island refugees stay
Destroy all detention centres
Funding for settlement
Open the borders
In Solidarity
