NEW WORLD BORDERS - OVERLAND 164
A collection of articles, poems, short stories and first hand accounts
exploring borders, migration, mandatory detention and living in asylum.

Political economist, unionist and activist, Stuart Rosewarne, investigates
people movements in the globalised world.
Mammad Aidani, poet, playwright, novelist reflects on seeking and living in
asylum.
Anna Szorenyi gives a snapshot of the abuse and violence revealed in her
recent investigations of the treatment of asylum seekers in Australia.
Nigel Hoffman writes about being an Activity Officer at Woomerra Detention
Centre, scene of protests and baton blows in August 2000.

This event is a fundraiser for No One Is Illegal, a group dedicated to
fighting for rights for all migrants and questioning borders. The money
will go towards an event planned in Easter 2002 at the Woomerra Detention
