Yo positive, progressive and proactive people of Australia, time to get
your sustaina-bots on the way to WA talkin about earth health and people's
worth in Perth for the 11th National Students and Sustainability conference
July 7-13th It's actually for students OF sustainability... which means
EVERYONE (and that means YOU!)
Come and visit the fictional world come reality- SUSTAINIA- a buzzing land
of magic, manifestations, dreams and endless possibilities, myriads of much
fun and funkyNESS to addrESS our current catastrophic freemarket madNESS,
that sickening strESS causing so much mESS, distrESS,..unrest.. pushing
debts of injustice onto all of usunless????
So we're creating...a .....conference .........of colour, community,
creativity and collective cranking-NESS Yes, Yes... It's going to be a
blast of freedom flavour! That be tasting like:-
inspiration, excitement, liberation, insight, interconnection,
manifestation and intention, networking, community, compassion, fixin up
this planet that were trashin more networking, ningalooing (turtle power is
here!!), re-cycling, reducing, reusing and some composting of old outdated
ideologies
to create fertile mind gardens for new ways of knowing to grow.. and did I
mention...
playing, jamming, juggling, jumping, jiving and more jamming (culture) and
ACTION ACTION ACTION and mucho RELAXIN (to keep us all sustainable of
course!!) so many amazing people from all over Australia coming together to
make plans to take back the reigns from the power-tripping neo-colonazis,
them bully boys of brainwashed bigotry putting prices on life, and steer
this chaotic ship of capitalist cannibals out of suicide canyon,
back down shitcreek
into more tranquil waters,
using the paddle of PEOPLE POWER to
legislate freedom and
end all injustice inequality, discrimination and sorrow,
coz we youth be the leaders of tomorrow
baby boomers time is borrowed
so we be looking at ancient wisdom and seven generations from tomorrow,
Yo!!!
(Word to ya mother!...and father!...actually, bring your whole family!)
We got funkloads of wonderful workshops, inspiring speakers [(incl. David
Yyenken, Clarrie Isaacs (Nyoongar Elder)Christine Sharpe (MLC), Dee
Margetts (MLC)], local indigenous insightful input, rockin entertainment,
interesting forums (including the politics of water, toxics, GE,
education, salinity, sustainable agriculture, corporate globalisation,
gender issues, and many more) students coming from PNG and East Timor,
kick ass YUMMO MAXIMO ORGANICO FOODO, west side vibes, sunsets at la
beach, crazy post conference journeys (South West Forests, US spybase,
ningaloo reef, Port Hedland detention centre and more)
and its all happening in Perth for the first time
WE ARE SOOOOOOO EXCITED!! (And we know you are too!!)
if ever you've needed a reason to open ya mind to the west side vibes
