Dear all,

The following articles in today's issue of The Age highlight a very
alarming trend.  According to The Age, a group calling themselves
Blackshirts appear conducting an alarming campaign of harassment and
intimidation of women who dare to get divorced, as well as their
children.  They describe themselves as a fascist organisation, and along
with divorce, they are also concerned with same sex families.  Short

Threat to crackdown on vigilante group

A Labor MP has warned a militant men's group that it will face the full
force of the law if it ignores a warning from the state government and
continues to intimidate women and children.

The Blackshirts are a group of disgruntled ex-husbands who are unhappy with
Family Court decisions and have been accused by Attorney-General Rob Hulls
of a long-running campaign of intimidating women and children.

Vigilante group threatens to sue government

A spokesman for a self-described fascist group, opposed to divorce and
Family Court intervention, has threatened to sue the state Attorney-General
over his allegations of intimidation and harassment.

Attorney-General Rob Hulls wrote to Blackshirts spokesman John Abbott
yesterday, telling him and the groups members to stop anonymously harassing
Victorian women who had taken their husbands to the Family Court.
