Getting Organised: A seminar for unionists

Joan Doyle, new postal union state secretary
Kevin Bracken, new MUA secretary
Followed by two workshops:
1. Challenging the Workplace Relations Act
A workshop with former AMWU state secretary Craig
Johnston and labour lawyer on how to challenge
anti-union laws.
2. Getting Started: Organising the unorganised
A workshop with trade unionists on how to organise in
non-union and poorly-unionised workplaces. Presenters
include Alison Thorne - Coordinator of the CPSU
Workplace Organising Committee at Moorabbin Call
Centre, Pat Woods � former Organiser with CEPU and
ASU, and Shera Angela - young woman worker in retail
currently in process of being unionised.
The Seminar will conclude with a discussion on
cross-union campaign issues.
