Subject: Happy Labor day/ Life as the beech. ;-)

Hello everyone, Just a short note to say hello and Wish everyone a good and
safe holiday weekend, (Summer is now Over.)
Today was another easy project, one done on the Legacy and then quickly
switched to the SS lathe to do the finals and sanding.
This rolling pin is a present for my Mother-in-law. The pin is made out of
Beech wood, sanded down to 400 grit and then sealed with a linseed-oil and
bee's wax mixture, applied to the spindle while the lathe is in motion, (a
friction polish, Quick and durable, to apply and easily repaired when the time
need's...)
You can see I made a new adapter for my lathe, so I can switch the spindles for
one machine to the other, easily with you changing any-thing. (Its nice for big
jobs, but just as nice for these kind of small jobs as well. ) It really make
life much easier. ;-) If you don't have an adapter for your lathe, I Highly rec
emend that you get/make one now. When you need it, it will be to late.
Talk to you all latter.
C.A.G.
