The design kit has saved me many trial and errors on timber, I know you can do it all on computer now days but the design kit produces it full scale so I can pin it up and get a real feel of how it looks, like a 4 poster bed
I was going to do for someone once and then they found the ceiling in their bedroom was too low and it didn’t look right. saved me hours of work for nothing they went with a lower polished brass bed instead I wasn’t worried it was a freebee for friends all that was waisted was a sheet of paper and not even that I rubbed the pencil off and used it again for another projects. Anyone who is a scroll sawer could make their own design kit And there are free programs out there for printing your own graph paper of different sizes. or find someone with a laser cutter. Cheaper than buying a expensive computer program which I probably couldn’t use without a lot of learning I like the old school approach.
