Mike,
Thanks.  Yes, it does.  It appears that that "slope into the ground" gets steeper as time goes on.

Yes Bill, I heard it too - with your own ears too. LoL
That conference call (or whatever it was) was about 8-10 years ago if I remember correctly.
Thanks for reminding the Group members about it.  Great point.

A while back legacy did a live pod cast with the members of this group and I heard with my own ears that the members of this group were given permission to share information about the old manual mills amongst each other in the group  so you didn’t do anything wrong and to get a woodchuck manual again in sure you would be forgiven even if you did

There's things silently going on in the background when it comes to the information not getting lost.  No worries there.

Hey Tim,

My Pleasure. I am honestly glad I was able to contribute something that others will benefit from. I just happened to connect with the right person the day when I started my search. Now if a few guys save it to their computers and or a DVD or something. I printed it off of course too.

Kind Regards,

OMG, I can die now knowing the official woodchuck manual has been found.  Long mystified to be lost and never to be found again...at Legacy even!!!  Thanks for sharing this Tim, it honestly has been well over a 10 year search.

OK, I'll admit, I've had the Woodchuck for about 6 weeks (maybe 2 months), and I haven't really touched it since I got it.  Mostly because I had an unheated garage as a workshop, and Chicago temps have been prohibitively cold lately.

I took 20 minutes this morning to take the crank handle Mike Pung sent me (thanks Mike!) out and figure out how it goes on the machine.  I had to take off some giant washers, but figured it out.

Then I started taking a bunch of parts off that were rust frozen, oiled them up and got some of the surface rust off so they could move freely (to some extent).

Then I saw it...  This machine is AWESOME!  I'm still not sure about a lot of things, but the possibilities are endless!  I just wanted something to make pool cues with, but this can do so much more!

Yeah, I've seen the braiding and twist videos, flute routing and all that.  But when you see how configurable this is up close, your mind runs wild!

If anyone has a Woodchuck manual, or even an extra one, I'd be interested it copying it.  The company I own is a professional training company, and I make training manuals all the time.  I can make PDFs out of anything.  So if you want, I can make professional manuals that are out of print...  Just an offer.

Thanks again to Mike Pung!

Rick
