I am actually going to have a lot of census records and also vital records (birth/marriage/death).  So are you suggesting that for the Master Source for all census record I just enter something like US Census Records and then enter the city, state, ed, etc. in the details screen?  For the vital records just Birth Records, Marriage Records, etc., and again just enter the specifics for each person on the detail screen?
 
Sorry for so many questions, but I want to get this straight in my mind so I can start to work on this mountain of paper records that I have.

It largely depends on how many records you are likely to have, but you
might want to consider not including the City and/or State and the more
likely the year.

You really don't want to end up with dozens of almost identical Sources,
one for each City for each Year.
