The paper filing system uses MRIN numbers, not RIN
numbers. Changing RIN
numbers doesn’t change MRIN numbers.

I found the answer to my own question (renumbering
the RINs).  I
renumbered the RINs showing me as #1.   
 
However, this brings up another question.  In the
renumbering RINs
screen it says you can renumber so that you get rid
of gaps (from
deleted persons).
 
If you use the paper filing system that is
recommended (the RIN # filing
system which I DON'T use) it would mess up your
entire filing system if
you ever renumbered.
