I believe the program is set up to use any full relationship of any degree, then use 1/2 relationships. I have the same situation. Go to Tools, Relationship calcuator. put the two people in question. Do ALL of the multiple connections show up there? If the 'other' one isn't there, then you need to do some repair work. If it is found, then the program has chosen a differant one as closest.
