Hello again everyone,
I'm sorry to have had to take a couple of day's break from this
thread, and I thank you all for your help and patience.
Original query was
>>snip Error opening database
When I answered 'yes' to the query if I wanted to try again, up came the
words 'could not lock file'.<<<
I've been unable to open the .fdb family file from the flash drive since.
This is the message I get when I try to save the Legacy file to Flash drive
"K", which is the one I've been having trouble with since the update of
Legacy.
"Error saving Family File as: K:\glover main one 1-01-2009.
Error 67: Too many files
Would you like to TRY IT AGAIN? "
There is very little 'used' space in the flash!!
Mike ,
I have checked for multiple copies of Legacy to be running, and
also switched the machine off, restarted it, etc. That doesn't make any
difference.
Gary,
I have looked at the 'read only' box, it's not ticked, 'archives' is
ticked.
I am able to save the Legacy files to another flash drive though. That's
working alright.
So though the problems not solved, I will just copy the files on the K flash
to my hard drive, and then to the other flash I have. So problem solved that
way.
Thank you all for your help,
Happy New Year,
Jill
