Been thinking of tossing all my original obits etc. too. Have scanned them and added them to individuals so have hard copy if I want to ever print it.
Don't you think this would be enough?

I wouldn't, keep the originals of news clippings at least. Census you
can download the images to DVD or CD and the way things are going get
them anytime from familysearch. But the papers or the images of them
come and go.
