Hadn't thought about that! Have a vacuum packaging system for food - would
this be a good thing to use and fill bag with newspaper articles-for air
free-storage? Thought about using same for 1891 autograph book of my
grandmothers as it is deteriorating- any better ideas for storing paper
originals?
Jan
Storage material has a nasty habit of suddenly not working <G> the
film on discs deteriorates etc. I would keep the newspaper originals.

Been thinking of tossing all my original obits etc. too. Have scanned them
and added them to individuals so have hard copy if I want to ever print
it.
Don't you think this would be enough?
Jan
I wouldn't, keep the originals of news clippings at least. Census you
can download the images to DVD or CD and the way things are going get
them anytime from familysearch. But the papers or the images of them
come and go.

I am trying to reduce my paper files. I was thinking about tossing out
those things that I have transcribed e.g. Obituaries, newspaper articles
and
census recordings. ie those things that are easily accessible these days
(but not birth, marriage and death certs). Any thoughts on this.
