You can source your notes by using the old MLA sourcing technique of putting a
reference to the source in brackets at the end of the paragraph or sentence.

For example, if the source is "Early Fairchilds in America" by Jean Fairchild
Gilmore, at the end of the section, I'd enter [Gilmore] and then source my book
in the Notes the usual way.

Subject: [LegacyUG] How do I cite multiple sources in Individual Notes/Event
entries?

I wish to include in my family file a narrative description of an ancestor who
was transported to Australia as a convict. The narrative will be 1000-1500
words, with multiple sources to be cited, and although the best place for it in
Legacy would seem to be the Individual Notes, I am finding that Notes doesn’t
appear to provide for sources to be cited separately. When multiple sources are
cited, Legacy lumps all the footnote/endnote numbers together at the end of the
Notes entry, rather than keeping each one beside the specific item of
information to which it relates. Similarly, when producing a Descendant
Narrative which includes Events with citations, Legacy lumps all the Event
footnote/endnote numbers together at the end of the Event Name. Not only that,
the Event footnote/endnote numbers duplicate the numbers allocated to the
separate Notes citations. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?
Thank you. Richard
