Just this past week, I've received emails from three people using Bit Defender 2010 who were getting the Access Violation error in Legacy Charting.

It turns out that in my case, it was BitDefender Internet Security 2010. Even though it seemed to be a Windows access violation, somehow it was caused by BitDefender. This is what I did to solve the problem. Open BitDefender Internet Security 2010. Left click on 'Antivirus' tab>'Shield tab>'Advance' button. The 'Bitdefender Active Virus Control Settings' box opens, then click '+' button and add an exclusion for LegacyCharting.exe. Job done and Charting now works without 'Access Violation' issues. I would be interested to know if anyone else has BitDefender and is experiencing problems...or not? Happy at last, and now I'll send this off to Customer support as well.....Graham Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp
