Since I use 3 styles of Basic Sources (Place,Book,Other) I would call the
Source "Mexico, state, county/town, land records, person, date" . In the text
field I would transcribe the document. This way all the stuff in a place will
sort together: taxes, census, BMD. The alphabetical sorting of  "As of Mexico"
will not be near Mexico, but in the A's and "Deeded 100 acres" will be lost
from Mexico but in the D's sorted by size of land, instead of by place.
You might want to think about what is the most  important part of the Source
name. I think it is the location, then what happened, then to who, then when it
occured.
I hope this helps.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Documenting

Hi,

I would like to know how I should document and where I should put the info when
someone has deeded land? Examples I have are:

1.    "As of Mexico, deeded land in Mexico by Reuben Walton 2 June 1841."

2.    "Deeded 100 acres in #7 by Proprietors 10 Aug 1835."

Thanks in advance,

Stacey
