Rich, Ah, but how do you know the source is a land record? It could just as easily be an old letter, an e-mail, or an 1889 county history for all we know. Nor, for that matter, do we know if it relates to Mexico the country, or the town of Mexico, Missouri or some third possibility I haven't thought of.
Stacey needs to determine at least two things: where she wants to record the information (Event or Note, for example), then she needs to determine what her source for the information is, i.e. what kind of document is she holding in her hand? Is she looking at the deeds, or at a narrative of some kind that describes the deeds? Once she has done that, she can decide how to construct and name the source. I am not sure how a place can be a source, although I certainly name many of my sources based upon their location so that they sort together.
