You could use search and replace.

Search the ‘given names’ for a single letter, ‘matching whole word only’ and 
replace with the single letter followed by a period.

Unfortunately Legacy does not have regular expressions so you have to do this 
for every letter of the alphabet.

Following suggestions prior to upgrading to Legacy 7.4, I ran the Potential 
Problem report and found that I have over 100 individuals where I have failed 
to add a period after their initial.

Is there any way to make the corrections without having to make the changes one 
by one?
