I think the person responsible for the latest update to Legacy must be the same
person who maintains this list server.

Well, I feel like Legacy has become like Toyota. What once was a good
car/genealogy program has become a problem to drive/use. I just don't
understand how enhancing software like adding Family Search capabilities can
somehow erase coding in a Descendent Book Report. I wish someone - anyone -
from Millennia would just once apologize for messing up.

So how do I go back to the version prior to this one? I am hardbinding my
daughter's paternal family story. It will be done once and never again. She
wants to know how Per Nelson is related to her, a Peterson, so I need to have
the line back to the starting person.

It seems you're right.

Could someone create a Descendant Book Report for at least 3 generations,
checking the box under Options that says Show line back to starting person
and also check the box Show generation numbers and see if you get those
names? They should be in parenthesis and in Italics after names in the
second generation. I've suddenly realized that with the newest version
7.4.0.6 I don't get the ancestor names as I did in other versions. Thank
you.
