Luckily, then, I only use Basic to create sources. I'm manually entering the
ancestor names and generations numbers for this project and have asked for
instructions on how to go back to Version 6. I hope the transfer to ver. 6 goes
smoothly, because over 30,000 names is a lot of names to view to make sure the
gedcom went through correctly. Thanks for your help.

  Ruth,

You can, but if you’ve created sources in SourceWriter, they’ll all be
converted to Basic. If you email Support, we can send you specific
instructions to go back to Legacy v6. The previous builds of Legacy v7 aren’t
available. It requires creating a gedcom in v7, uninstalling, deleting
specific files which remain after the uninstall, installing the previous
version and then importing the gedcom.

BTW, the issue with the Descendants report has already been reported to the
programmers and they’re working on it.

  Thanks for using Legacy.

Well, I feel like Legacy has become like Toyota. What once was a good
car/genealogy program has become a problem to drive/use. I just don't
understand how enhancing software like adding Family Search capabilities can
somehow erase coding in a Descendent Book Report. I wish someone - anyone -
from Millennia would just once apologize for messing up.

So how do I go back to the version prior to this one? I am hardbinding my
daughter's paternal family story. It will be done once and never again. She
wants to know how Per Nelson is related to her, a Peterson, so I need to have
the line back to the starting person.

    It seems you're right.

Could someone create a Descendant Book Report for at least 3 generations,
checking the box under Options that says Show line back to starting person
and also check the box Show generation numbers and see if you get those
names? They should be in parenthesis and in Italics after names in the
second generation. I've suddenly realized that with the newest version
7.4.0.6 I don't get the ancestor names as I did in other versions. Thank
    you.
