So I'm not the only one with this problem. I've had to do the same report in .pdf format and then copy and paste the right source citation numbers from pdf to my rtf. Also, same thing happened to me as you report in your last paragraph. Bummer!

However, wanting to send some information to a friend to-day I created a Multiple Lines of Descent and save it in RTF. I included Sources, opting for Endnotes at the end of the book and combining multiple citations into one paragraph. I was rather mystified by what appeared to be an extra set of citations at the foot of the Report when viewed in Word. There were 10 of them prefaced with Roman numerals, rather than the Arabic numerals of the other 389 Citations and they were also in a different font and the paragraph indentation was different. I eventually realised that these final Citations related to Notes - General, Medical, Marriage, etc. I am curious as to why they appear like this in a RTC Report, when they are not so distinguished in other formats - well, not when previewed on screen, anway. Can anyone explain this? One other point - this may be a bug. After Marriage Notes for one couple there was a gap of several lines before the superscripted x indicating the Citation appeared. Thinking I must have accidentally inserted empty lines when entering the Notes I went back to edit them and found there were no empty lines but a single CR at the end of the one line of text. Inexplicably, that CR had turned into several (sorry, I didn't count!) in the RTF file. -- Jenny M Benson Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp
