Loren, In Family View,click on the Parents Icon (two adult) and add another set. You can set their status to adoptive, should you so wish.

The grandmother and her second husband, Alan Smith, adopted George and he changed his name to Smith, from Pinney. He then married and had two children with the surname Smith.
