In defence of Bob, I experienced the exactly the same sort of problems when I tried to subscribe a couple of months ago. Eventually after doing nothing but tearing my hair out, some sort of glitch resolved itself and I was able to post. I think it is unfair and unkind to blame Bob for what appear to me to be problems which seem to originate at Millennia's end.
